A Comic Of A Feature
So I'm sure you as well as many others have a huge collection of digital comics purchased on your PSN account, just waiting to be read over and over again in your free time...
"The comic service for PlayStation" is accurate in more ways than one, with the idea turning out to be a complete joke throughout its entire non-eventful existence. A small piece of news that shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, but Digital Comics are inevitably going to be scrapped in the future. The "Comics" tab will be removed in September this year, and content will cease being added on March the 15th. The comic app for PSP will be available to download until the end of 2012, and Sony recommends that if you wish to play it safe, back up your comics with Media Go.
Next to no one bought them when they first came out, and I'm pretty sure no one cares for them now. If you wan't comics, go and save some Cyanide and Happiness in your photos folder before you go out.
While there will be no more comics on the PSP, Sony are planning out a way of distributing comics through other Sony/PlayStation products (better not add that crap to the Vita).

Noooooooooo! I Liked the idea I only wish they had manga If they had i would have actuly baught lots of them
What's the point of a Comics feature without Manga? That's like claiming to sell cars, and not selling them.

I think I bought one PSP comic from them, and then I read it and I was like, "huh, I'm not gonna spend anymore money here." And then I left it. Not surprised to see this coming to an end. Sony does like to hold onto things they make until they are clearly dead though. What a shame. I also would have bought manga had they been long editions for $2.99 but the fact that I could only read them on my PSP was kind of a shame. Would have been cool to read comics on the PS3 or on PC via a webrowser through a site Sony maintained. But nope.
Until Sony diversifies its holdings and someday(I hope) includes more graphic novels, Manga, Dark Horse, and Indie comics, I refuse to support their platform. There is more to comics and graphic novels than just a bunch of mary-sue/gary-stu superheroes(yes I'm looking at you Marvel/DC, I expect more down-to-earth characters like Spiderman(Peter Parker) than mary-sues like Iron man(AKA Tony Stark).
