PSP L/CFW 6.39 ME v9.7 Released

It is the first time I've seen a neur0n CFW release without an official readme.txt; however, going by neur0n's previous track record, I'd assume PSP Custom Firmware (and Light Custom Firmware) 6.39 ME version 9.7 pack the same changes as L/CFW 6.60 ME version 1.6. That's usually the case, but I could be wrong... And I've been wrong before.

Lets assume I'm right though; then these would be the changes:

  • Change CPU clock from 199/99 to 200/100.
  • Update VshMenu. Now you can use translate text.
  • Fixed an ISO size when dump it through USB in XMB.

neur0n ... holler back if I need to be corrected.

is it compatible with the old phat PSP 1001 ?? running custom firmware m33 3.2 :D ... i didn't touch my PSP since so long :S

you should be using LCFW if your PSP is newer than a PSP-1000 or
PSP-2000 (non-TA088v3); and if you're still sportin' an early PSP, drop
the "L" and use the straight up CFW

I still prefer 6.39 over 6.60 as it's been used and tested longer but is still relatively as new as 6.60 CFWs. :)

I got my psp 2000 hacked after about 5 years from buying it.  Man, that made me use it again.  Psp 2000 w/ homebrew ftw.  I keep mine 6.39 for the same reasons as you.

I updated from 5.00 M33-3 to 6.60 ME and was wondering if i can simply run the 6.39 patched upgrader to downgrade. as Fake_NP was patched in 6.60 all my signed games crash my PSP now and its sort of a bummer.

Any help would be great :D (im using 6.60 ME 1.6 Full CFW.)

What are the advantages of this CFW over 5.50 Prome-4? [PSP is a 1000] I haven't run into any problems with my current fw, nor any incompatable games yet, however its been a while since I updated it and just stumbled upon this one while looking around at different homebrew apps. Thanks!

Didnt work for Me

 

I updated from 5.50 prometheus and all I got was a 6.39 update then I kept getting an error when trying to install the other files.

 

back to pandora and 5.50 Prom for Me I guess

I have never hacked one of my systems. I just updated my firmware on my psp 2001 to 6.60.  Do I need to downgrade to 6.39 or lower to use the CFW so I can change my startup.  What all do I need.

how do you flash this if your psp is already hacked? i've only done this like 2 times and i bought the psp hacked. I need a newer firmware to access psn
