Cool! It's confirmed the PS Vita will in fact be region-free! That's straight from the horse's mouth -- @yosp -- Shuhei Yoshida, President of Worldwide Studios, Sony Computer Entertainment.
What's that mean? It means when the Vita is released in Japan first, on December 17th, you'll be able to import that badboy across the border and not worry about region locked games or content.
Import a Vita from Japan, buy a game in North America, and everything's gravy, baby.

Nice Austin Powers impersonation there!
Good to hear. The less restrictions the better I say. Maybe Sony will get it right this time, with the whole supporting "garage developers" and all.Or... this will all just be another OtherOS scenario.
That is Cool, No regional Locks! That is Fr'ee'king Cool!

Off topic, mostly,http://psp.dashhacks.com/psp-h...^^ That page needs to be updated pl0x.
Yeah, you're right. And I guess every model and firmware is hackable now, pretty much rendering the chart irrelevant. I'll update it later. Cheers.

Guess Sony is paying more attention to its customers now.
