PopsLoader for Custom Firmware 6.xx PRO
Virtuous Flame, aka Liquidzigong, has released PopsLoader for Custom Firmware 6.xx PRO. PopsLoader is a better means to emulating PSOne (PS1) games on the PSP; rip whatever game yourself, ISO it up, and play on.
PopsLoader does however take some preparation -- you'll be required to dump & decrypt select firmware files yourself. Everything needed can be found below -- check README.txt (included) to see exactly what's up.

gj guyz i rly apreciate all of your work and this would be so cool. i mean it was ok running ps1 games in 5.50 versions but the 6.XX thing is a must. So i am gonna try it and continue with the good work
What do we do for the impose files for the go? Do we just not need them? Also, do we only need to put the files in the folder for our specific firmwares/psps?

For those of you who need instructions (just as I did) READ ALL OF THIS. THIS REQUIRES PRO-B8 NIGHTLY. It will NOT run on PRO-B7. The tutorial to create and install is in readme.txt. It is very work-intensive if you do it yourself (however, "The Z" has a package on his site which is full - you didn't hear it from me). Pro-B8 Nightly, at the moment, does not work on 6.20 and requires a 6.3x version to run (I only tested on 6.20 and 6.39). Devyn, yes you need them. From my understanding, you only put the firmwares you want in there - it allows you to emulate PS1 games using any firmware you wish (compatibility reasons). Do not ask me why this "New Popsloader" is supposedly better than the old one - I do not know, aside from compatibility of being able to use any POPS version from 3 and up. Some games WILL crash or not load with the New Popsloader, so be weary of this - if it does crash, next time you go to load the game, hold the R button to enter the POPSLOADER menu, where you can set the firmware version you want to run it on (if holding R does nothing, New Popsloader is not installed). Also please note that the readme does include a few misprints - you may note a few files that are supposed to be under certain firmwares are not. This is normal/expected/just a typo.

well,i got mine working w/ mortal kombat trilogy (w/ 3.02 pops) but it has no music,,, i'm on 6.20 pro b8 in my psp go!!
Try one of the newer ones then? I have luck with all my PSP games running the 6.39 version.

The best place to get Nightly is on the Google Code wiki for the project. It includes three versions for different firmwares.

Any1 tried the firmware updates given above? mine appeared as corrupt data.

hi there so i found a direct link to download popsloader but for the pspgo and i have the psp 3004 briteanyways when i opened the files there was a popsloader file and the rest of the modules stuff are the same which i did to my popsloader folder but i have a questiondo i need any txt folders ??and should i fill up all of my module folders ???or just the firmwares that i want ??
i found a video on youtube it had the full folder i downloaded it and done everything but what i found out that there is something weird about each popswhen i tried 3.71 pops my psp crashes in every gamebut when i tried pops 3.03 and 3.52 they both workedso i think there is some sorta problem with some pops i think i am gonna try the rest of the pops( the game i am trying each pops with is : digimon world 2003 pal-e )
Hold R1 to enter recovery, try a different firmware. Otherwise, google The Z, go to his site, he has a full setup for 6.39.

thanks man i really appreciate thatokay so i downloaded the file done everything wellbut pops 3.71 still not working on digimon world 2003 pal-e anyways pops 3.52 is running well so its not a big deal that 3.71 isnt workingby the way why the screen colours of psp 3004 brite different than the old PSPs and why the colours look weird ??
The "Brite" PSPs have a feature that allows better view of the screen in open daylight, but at the cost of scan lines, which makes the screen look different.

Works great! Tried this on Mortal Kombat: Trilogy and now it's playable using popsloader.
Question for the developer: Why is there a 3.96 POPS version? That firmware supposedly is a UMD-only FW.
I am having problems getting this to work for me. I think because I do not know what fw to use for what games. is there a list for this version yet or is it too new still. I could use some help please because I have been dying to play resident evil on my psp and have not been able to thus far. by the way sweet program I read what everyone else said and congrats on another sweet ass program. could you please help me?
