PSP-Hacks Custom PSP Theme Challenge *Updated*
I didn't know this, but awhile back patpat released a new version of CXMB that is compatible with 6.35 PRO. So with that said, and to keep things a little active, we're going to have a PSP theme-off!
We invite you to join for two reasons: 1) As a theme developer you get mad Internet cred from all the newfound 6.20/6.35 hackers who would no doubt enjoy theming out their PSP or PSPgo, and 2) You could win $200.
Cool? All right, here are the Custom PSP Theme guidelines:
- You have one week to craft a new custom PSP CTF theme, which is to be compatible with CXMB for 6.20 TN and 6.35 PRO.
- Two versions of your theme are expected: 1) a CTF 6.20 TN-compatible version, and 2) a CTF 6.35 PRO version. Though it doesn't hurt to include compatible versions for GEN and M33 firmwares.
- You cannot take an existing theme and adapt it to 6.20 TN/6.35 PRO. New theme creations only.
- The submission deadline is February 25 at 12:00 am. EST.
- Submit your theme to gimme-that-ctf-money@psp-hacks.com
- Contest specific questions? Email the above address too.
We'll start with that and on the 25th we'll confirm the number of contestants and their status, which will determine whether or not we immediately move forward to public voting, or we extend the contest to allow theme developers a little more time. Public voting will happen in the forums. I'll of course keep you updated should anything change.

well first..@antinoob, ... wow.. whats with the hate...@to-lazy-to-scroll-up-and-see-your-name...No you don't need to sign CTF themes. you only need to sign executable programs for the psp. CTF themes are just a bunch of psp resources thrown into a single file, like an archive (think zip "folder"). However it isn't possible for an unmodified OFW to load and apply a CTF theme.
Great, we should see some nice themes in this challenge..

@antinoobs - Obviously this person is refering to CXMB....soooo....don't be so retarded. Think before you postNo...cxmb is not signed. it will take a signed CFW in order to load these natively without the aid of some type of Homebrew enabler. Sorry kiddo.

This can't brick your psp since it doesn't write to your flash.
havent experienced bricking my psp2000 with a cxmb, the cxmb just wont work if the prx is turned off. with bricking? i think not.

just copy the cxmb prx file to plugins on your psp and put the theme on the theme folder go on a umd and exit and go to themes and put it and bam you got CXMB

How quickly a thread can go to $hit. First of all to those who are obviously new to this CXMB is a plugin that allows you to install custom themes without having to touch your PSPs flash memory. Now since it allows you to install themes this way there is NO CHANCE of bricking your PSP using it. If you need more help on how to install the CXMB plugin look through the forums on this site as well as other PSP sites. It would be nice one day to come here and the threads were filled with nothing but useful info and people just trying to help each other out not the BS that I am reading here. If you don't have the ability to help someone out that has a question do us all a favor and don't respond, we were all new at this at some point so get off of your high horse and extend a helping hand.

THIS CANNOT BRICK YOUR FUCKING PSP NO MATTER WHAT THE FUCK YOU DO TO IT.3. EVEN IF YOU USE THE WRONG VERSION OF THE THEME (e.g you have 6.35 PRO and you accidentally download the 5.50 GEN version and put it in your themes folder, and activate it, you CANNOT brick it at all) BRICKING IS IMPOSSIBLE4. SAME GOES IF YOU USE A WRONG CXMB VERSION (e.g you have 6.20 TN-B but you download 5.50 GEN CXMB and you enable it in plugins and all that, then just restart your psp, re-enable HEN, and it just won't work, it won't brick or anything)5. Read before you post dumb questions like "CAN DIS BRICK ME PSP 2000?", it's not even about a CFW/HEN/Kernel/HBL exploit, it's a goddamn CUSTOM XrossMediaBar aka Custom Themes.

yay it worked it didnt brick my psp i thought cause i am a noob so it worked great and i am working on a awsome cxmb that everyone will like it may take up to a day but its a aswome
