Custom Firmware 5.03GEN-A for ChickHEN Released: Support for the PSP-3000!
Booyaka! Just what you've been waiting for... No, it's not the next M33 CFW -- it's Custom Firmware 5.03GEN-A for Team Typhoon's ChickHEN. It offers all the benefits of 5.02GEN-A, plus the following --
- PSP-3000 and PSP-2000 v3 Support
- PSOne Game Support
- ISO/UMD Backup Support
- GEN VSH MENU
- Recovery in VSH available (some bugs remain - see the README)
- Access to PSN
How to install 5.03GEN-A:
- Connect your PSP to the computer via USB when you have loaded ChickHEN R2
- Unzip 5.03GEN-A
- Double click on "LAUNCH-ME.exe" (GUI)
- PSP Model: depending on your PSP, choose the option PSP-2000 or PSP-3000
- Mode: Choose option FULL
- PSP Install: Choose option YES
- Push START
- The files are copied on your PSP
- Disconnect the PSP from USB
- Launch the main EBOOT.PBP using ChickHEN R2 (only R2! NOT R1!).
- When the app loads, press L or R to flash the firmware in your flash. YOU ONLY NEED MAKE IT ONE TIME!
- Press CIRCLE to reboot in the custom firmware.

hey guys i have a psp 3000 with firmware 4.21 i think it is, or maybe 4.20, not sure.will this be able to go onto it?i've been searching for a while for some cusotn firmware and i hope this will work!thanks

Upgrade to ofw 5.03 ,run ChickHEN R2 and then you will be able to run the GEN-A
I have updated firmware 5.51. It wont let me change the firmware im using. Is there anyway around this problem? like anyway to reformat?

hm..i tryed to reformat mem stick, res. to default settings, tryed to reinstall the chicken and all that.. but still no luck. let me know if you figure it out. bummer ;(

The FIX!what i did to fix my psp2k ta 088v31. Format ur PSP Memory Stick using the PSP itself whilst on OFW2. RESET the psp to factorymode3. Download an Official ChickHEN R2 Package made by Davee and davee's chickhen only not any modded packs or what ever4. This step may take a lil while but try too run the HEN in any way u want just dont use the Modded Ones5. Put the m33 CFWEnabler v1.0 on the Memory stick dont try the newer versions just try v1.0 Flash it too ur Flash0 5. Get the 2.10 Version Flash it too ur flash0 6. And last but not at least Flash the 2.51 version on the PSP's Flash0try this

i done what you done (h20) i had the same problem but i only got to step 5.when i cheked my system info i got version 5.00m33, can i use it like normal m33 with iso games and psp games..... or do i need to installm33 CFWEnabler 2.10...and 2.51?

Okay, help me out here guys, this is just like CFWEnabler in that, once I hard boot the system, it goes back to normal, and is not permanent, so that when an M33 is finally released, I can install that, right?
yes ofcourse you don't have to worry... if team m33 lauch CFW obviously that would be 5.50m33

apparently this is just a custom firmware enabler, so after shuting down your psp it will comeback to original firmware, perfect for those TA83v3 & 3000 users.

Does this enabler flash anything on the PSP-3000? I don't want to wreck mine.
It does but, read the readme. It says that if you rename (dont delete since you cant flash anymore if you delete this) flasher.prx, you cant flash ANYTHING from/to your PSP meaning you're safe. Dont even try to add a flashable theme to this. If you mess with vshmain then your psp might get a UNREPAIRABLE SUPER ~!@#$%^&*S!#$%^&* BRICK AND YOUR MOM WILL DO SOMETHING TO YOU.have fun

Can you delete the files that were flashed?I mean let's say i don't want to use gen anymore, can i delete the flashed files that were used by gen from flash0?
Don't delete ANYTHING from the flash0. There is no pandora for the psp 2000v3 and psp 3000. Doing anything with the flash0 is very dangerous and can make your PSP well....It will be the same as a stone brick, but worth 200 dollars.
i assume we need to figure a way to make 3000's to be flashed by pandora for the safe way heh
Yes, but even if the 3000/v3 would boot a pandora, no matter how we flashed the OFW, it would brick thanks to the new pre ipl.Now the only way i could think of getting past that is if we could mess with the motherboard and the pre ipl itself OR if we could control what files are flashed with an OFW update,or for that matter, what makes OFW Updates any different from flashing
