Netfront Internet Browser (Beta) - HighMemoryMod By Team P86

Need some extra memory for whatever sites you're frequenting when using the integrated PSP web browser? Well, courtesy of the HighMemoryMod by Team P86, Ardatan has released Netfront Internet Browser, which in its current beta state removes browser memory limitations leaving those extra megabytes available for your surfing experience.

Sound good? It is good. I can tell you pages certainly load a lot faster now. Let us know your experience -- leave your feedback below.

First!

wow you must have no life if this is what makes you proud

his first to shame, thats waht

u guys are annoying, u guys who're commenting the first commenter. does it make any of u feel proud, calling out the obvious before anyone else gets to it? i think commenting the first comment's replaced first commenting as being the worst taboo of looking at the comments. (commentscommentscomments)

And second. I hope this browser works well. Can this somehow be merged with PSPTube to provide flash videos right from a browser.

That would be pretty cool actually but i doubt it

This is the best app ever

Fourth. Sounds promising!

Fifth.Doesn't work.i tested w/ a 80% signal and it wont connect. The normal browser works fine though.

any1 know where to put this file?

Works great for me! The websites do load a lot faster. I can only imagine what the performance would be like on a slim!

I am wondering which is faster -this one or Opera mini + java emulator(I am using it at the moment)

opera is much faster

The downside of opera mini is that when it's out of memory it just freezes.

u could clear da datas from da help menu from opera mini

Do I talk like dis coz I fink it makes me sownd cool or is da anuva reson 4 it :SRETARDED!

Agreed.

I second this

thats never happend to me before at all

any1 know where to put this file man

Unrar in psp/game

It requires hacked pspsorry for the double post-i don't see edit button

Very nice, it works great on the PSP Slim :D Defiantly faster page loading

opera mini is much faster

Ok im remain on opera mini then

but opera mini doesnt allow u to push enter while typing. so idk...loli use this at home, opera mini at school (bypasses school security), but sometimes at home too, cuz its soo slick...umm idk. haha.

i can't get it to load anything on my PSP Slim 2001 TA-088v1 MB i believe why would it be doing this?

i get a if PSP Slim, writes 1:1 (or something like that i'm not sure right now)

Fuck yeah! Finally something like this gets released.

Wow, I tried this and I tried to run a web page that was 2 mbs at most, and it said that there wasn't enough memory.... opera mini works much better ;3

2 problems (only one for some people)1. i can only save files to the root of the memory stick... you cant use anything from there on a psp. 2. that annoying clicking sound when you push a button!!! i've done everything in my power to get rid of it but it seems to be in some homebrew now. not that important, but still, i hate it.

For problem #1, get PSP filer. You can move files and stuff around with it on the go.

For problem 2 - MUTE the psp

hundredth Ya I did... the first hundreth

Twenty Seventh!!!But really, I want to try this in place. It's kinda like Opera for PSP (Prolly a couple of pages back). =)

it is so much faster now if only we had the full keyboard o ya this was posted on a slim GREAT JOB TO THE DEVS

Can this merged with IR shell 4.9 perfered homebrew 1,to be even faster.

been waiting so LAWWWWWWWNG lets hope to see this browser become something big(ger)

Opera Mini works much better, it can render pages better and layout doesnt brake. java scripts are supported. and a lot faster even it is run from java emulation. i have been using opera mini instead of the built in browser since.

X2, I officially support your comment (lol). This is buggy; here is the full bugs list at qj.net release thread:Files only save to root.Annoying clicksounds. If you use the three tabs at same time the PSP will freeze. And (an good) solution isn't available at this time.if I'd were you guys I wouldn't risk my PSP. But hey it's yours not mine so please don't reply to this. Thanx.

its times like this when i wish the psp had 1 gb of memory

i think the built in browser is easyer to get to to look something up than mini opera. i disable flash, java and animation and most pages will load with out the memory error but i cant post comments and it ticks me off. is that cuz java is off? java always trys to redrect me to some bull.... page. mini opera is cool but downloading is really lame. is shows you all thes spots to save to that the psp dosent have and gives an error when you try to save to them. i dont care if root is only spot to save to i just want to know if i can post with this browser. can someone confirm that please

You can, and it's the EXACT same browser as before, but it uses all ram to speed things up. So I assume you can post on here and other sites.

Pretty damn fast ++ i can tell you that, good stuff, get it outta beta, and try to make it integrated whichin the system if you can, so it wouldnt act as a homebrew.now that would be even better.

Very nice...Very QuickCeers

Cheers

Well, it's running fine for me, Better than Opera Mini in my opinion [much better keyboard support anyways], I haven't had any of the Connection Problems as stated above.Cheers!/ TA-79 v1 Phat ; 5.00 M33-6 \-Dark

u can integrate the same keyboard in opera mini, just minus the enter button. soo yea.

If it wasn't for me, this would have never been released :D. The truth is; Ardatan made this months ago, but never publicly released it. So yeah..I made him release a new improved version of it :P. Me and JK108 (The maker of Ultimate PSPtube) help ardatan and test it for him. This can't do any harm to your PSP since it's just the normal browser but it uses all your psp's RAM so the slim would have an advantage. In ardatans next release he'll add the functionality to automaticly clear the ram up so you won't get those messages of running low on memory. It will be a lot faster and 'might' completely remove the lag on the mouse and controls. Please reply to this post to report more improvements that you want in a future release (Keep in mind that we are a bit limited to what we can add since we can only improve the browser itself but not edit it)

Well, if you cold (as you said) trow away the "not enough memory" errors. And remove the horrible clicksounds somebody said up.Make the 3 tabs usable. And make the file saver work! I just can save to root folder!
