MotionDriver 1.0 + SDK Released
If you’re sporting one of these bad boys -- the NEO PSP Motion Kit Adapter to the left, then you best be downloading Raphaels’ MotionDriver v1.0 (for users) and the SDK (for developers).

For developers: easily interface with the NEO Motion Kit without any SIO coding on your part. The input data is provided as a raw gravital acceleration vector, as well as a rotation vector representing the tilt of the PSP. You can poll the motion data as an additional input method; if no motion kit is attached, the driver will return zero values for all vectors. Furthermore, Raphael’s driver bypasses the no sound problem due to the motion kit occupying the headphone jack. Thus, it’s possible to switch between the motion kit and headphones at any given time without a problem.

For users: install as a regular plug-in under whatever custom firmware you’re running… This enables support for the adapter, which interprets motion gestures as configurable button presses. For example -- you may navigate through the XMB by simply tilting your PSP. Quite cool, if I don’t say…

yhep.then after pLayin for an hour, expect your HEAD to be all DiZZY. you know, having a small screen for the PSP is aLso sometimes eye-stressing. then turnin it left and right. Hmm, actually I never was excited about that piece of hardware. Until now there is also not that much support software-wise. Ok we have a prx Plugin for LocoRoco, i bet it's cool for those who like LocoRoco...BUT if all things go well, a Touchscreen addon is on the way and this would seriously pwn the (unofficial) hardware addon market for the PSP. (yeah kids, i don't like blinky blinky LED mods too).
the major drawback of this hardware device is that you can't use your headphone with it ! I don't understand why they have not add a jack 3.5 plug (female) ... Zx
Looking at the picture of the device, it seems that it uses the mic connection for something. Look carefully at the jack and compare with a standard 3.5mm stereo jack.

I think when they were first developing it, mercury meltdown was rumored to use something like this to control the mercury through the mazes but it never came. I'd be interested to see that.
Get the Wii version then, it uses the tilts of the wiimote to tilt the mazes.
i think this is very cool i just wish that the prise was lower but the idea was great
thats what I don't understand about this... the PSP has a built in accelerometer -it always has, but there has been very little done about it.
